How to get to Cambrils for a vacation with essence

Being able to get to your destination comfortably is also part of a good vacation. And in a destination like Cambrils, where you feel like slowing down from the first day, having clear access by car, train or plane helps to start the getaway without stress.

Cambrils is very well connected by road, has its own train station and is also close to two very convenient airports for the traveler: Reus and Barcelona-El Prat. So, whether you come with your family, as a couple or in a motorhome, it is very easy to organize your arrival.

How to get to Cambrils by car

For many families, the car is still the most convenient option. It allows you to go out at your own pace, make stops along the way and travel with more freedom if you carry suitcases, bicycles, toys or everything you need for a few days of camping.

Cambrils is located on the route of the N-340 and connects directly with the AP-7 freeway, specifically at exit 37, as well as having access from the A-7 highway.

Main road accesses

If you are coming from Barcelona or from the north, the usual way is to take the AP-7 or A-7 towards Tarragona / Cambrils.
If you are arriving from Valencia or Castellón, access is also usually via the AP-7 or A-7 northbound .

How to get to Cambrils by train

Cambrils has its own train station, located at Avenida Charles Robert Darwin, s/n, 43850 Cambrils (Tarragona). It is a very convenient option for those who want to arrive without a car or prefer to make part of the trip by public transportation.

1. Cambrils Station

The closest option if your final destination is our campsite or the town itself. It is within the Mediterranean rail corridor and is the most logical station for those looking to reach the center of Cambrils comfortably, without relying on extra transfers.

2. Camp de Tarragona

If someone arrives by high speed, the main reference station is Camp de Tarragona, located between La Secuita and Perafort. However, it has no direct rail connection with Tarragona, Reus or Cambrils, so from there you have to continue by bus, cab or car.

Therefore:

  • If you come by regional or Rodalies, the best option is to get off at Cambrils.
  • If you come by AVE or high speed long distance, you will probably be interested in Camp de Tarragona and from there complete the journey by road.

How to get to Cambrils by plane

If you come from further away and prefer to travel by plane, the two nearest airports are Reus and Barcelona-El Prat.

How to get from the airport to Cambrils

From Reus Airport to Cambrils

The easiest way is usually by cab or the official Bus Plana bus. This bus is presented as official transport from Reus Airport to Cambrils, Salou, Tarragona, La Pineda, PortAventura and all the Costa Dorada.

In addition, the airport has a permanent cab service.

From Barcelona-El Prat to Cambrils

From Barcelona-El Prat you can also arrive by direct bus or regional train. For many families, this option is very convenient because it avoids complex transfers and allows to reach the final destination without renting a car.

How to get to Cambrils by motorhome or camper van

If you are traveling in a camper or motorhome, road access is once again the most practical option. The main reference continues to be the AP-7, exit 37, together with the A-7 and the N-340 as the main arrival routes to the municipality.

In this case, it is best to plan your arrival time in advance and check the exact access to the campsite. This way you avoid rushing in, especially in summer or on busy weekends.

To summarize: which option to choose depending on your point of departure

Then…

  • If you come by car, Cambrils has a comfortable access by AP-7, in addition to the A-7 and the N-340.
  • If you come by conventional train or Rodalies, the reference is Cambrils station, on Charles Robert Darwin Avenue.
  • If you arrive by AVE, the most important station is Camp de Tarragona, and from there you will have to continue by road.
  • If you fly, the nearest airport is Reus, and the alternative with more connections is usually Barcelona-El Prat. Both have transfer options to Cambrils.

Now that you know how to get to Cambrils… We are waiting for you!

Some destinations are best enjoyed when everything is easy from the beginning. Cambrils is one of them: good road connections, own station, high speed relatively close and two airports that allow to adapt the trip to each type of getaway.

Because a vacation with essence doesn’t start when you check-in. It starts the moment you choose a comfortable, uncomplicated arrival, and you know that the next thing to do will be to rest, breathe and enjoy.
