Beyond the typical sun and beach tourism and the leisure offers of amusement parks, the Mountains of the Costa Dorada offer numerous attractions for family tourism.
Located in the inland part of Baix Camp, very close to Reus and Tarragona, and a few minutes by car from Camping La Corona, you will find 19 towns of great historical and natural wealth that make up its network of municipalities, covering an area of almost 350 kilometers of wooded and agricultural areas with a marked rural and Mediterranean character.
You will discover excellent hiking trails for all levels, mountain biking and touring, tasty traditional gastronomy, natural spaces of great scenic beauty, festivities of yesteryear that have retained all their charm over time, exceptional viewpoints, among many other aspects.
All its towns are emblematic, typically traditional and original, and have not been modified by current tourism; some preserve vestiges of their medieval past such as Capafonts, Prades, Pratdip or Alforja, but there are also cultural enclaves with castles such as the castle of Sant Miquel de Esconalbou or the hermitage of the Mare de Déu de la Roca de Mont-Roig del Camp, villages of stone, old strongholds of the Saracen conquest, such as Siurana or abandoned towns with popular legends such as the Musara.
In all cases, it is worth climbing to the top of the mountains to admire the spectacular views of the Costa Dorada and the plain of the so-called Campo de Tarragona.
From Camping la Corona we can provide you with information, maps and routes that will allow you to discover that unknown part of the Costa Dorada that arouses admiration and does not leave everyone who visits it indifferent.
